Ayrond Speaks:
And so it came to pass that the seven heroes of the prophecy departed on their separate quests.
I have worked a wondrous sorcery the like of which has never before been known in Arigol.
Would that I were certain that my actions have been proper. I have come to like these strangers from across the void and admire their courage and fortitude. I took them from the familiarity of their lives aboard the great vessel that sails the heavens, thrust them into a world foreign to them, yet they accepted the roles that I beseeched them to adopt. Surely this was but the first indication that they truly are those heroes whose arrival was predicted in the ancient Book of Prophecy.
Other signs also augur well; the spear cleaving to the king; the unicorn's acceptance of the halfling; the lady queen's ability to communicate with animals.
If I reach a place of safety I shall search for them with the scrying stone and perhaps, in some small way, be able to assist them. For if they die in this venture then the folk of Arigol will struggle forever under terror's yoke.
As for myself, I shall live always with the knowledge that I am responsible for the deaths of seven noble people and the unbearable future which awaits our land.
